AOD Contracts were appointed as Main Contractor to carry out external redecoration to the timber cladding for five blocks of luxury apartments in Stanmore. As a number of these blocks were situated over lakes a team of specialist abseiling decorators were required to enable a full strip off of the existing coatings and preparation and re-application of wood stain to the delaminated cladding. Scaffold was erected for areas that were accessible and carried out concurrently around the abseiling team. The use of abseiling decorators ensured all areas could be reached safely and without disturbing the surrounding environment.
