AOD Contracts were appointed as Main Contractor to carry out a full external redecoration and repairs to this fantastic six storey mansion block on this well renowned street. A full scaffold was erected to all elevations to enable the required works. A DOFF clean was carried out to the brickwork for the entire front elevation to give the building a brand new look. All previously painted areas were redecorated using Dulux Weather shield System and repairs included extensive brickwork together with a number of glazed brick replacements and render repairs. Windows were repaired using the Window care Repair system; in addition AOD Contracts supplied and fitted new timber sash windows to the top floor apartment to match the existing and in keeping with the conservation area.
On the main roof a number of asphalt repairs were carried out to ensure the roof remained watertight and new lead was installed to the box gutters and dormers. Old rainwater goods were replaced with new cast iron goods to the rear elevation.
Throughout the works, we made sure that the residents were able to carry on with their daily lives without intrusion.
