AOD Contracts were appointed as Main Contractor to carry out internal repairs and redecoration of the common areas to this prestigious six storey terraced building in the heart of Chelsea.
Full redecoration to all communal areas had been specified using the Crown Timonox Paint System and restoration of the existing wooden handrail. The stained glass window at mezzanine level was carefully removed and set aside to allow for new LED backlights to be installed and on completion reinstated. A complete lighting system upgrade was carried out and a new wireless fire alarm system installed. Fire upgrade works were a critical element for this project and all flat entrance doors were removed to allow for installation of new fire resistant door hinges, smoke and fire seals and door closers.
Existing carpets were removed and new carpets were fitted to the staircase, with the exception of the entrance hall where the existing mosaic floor tiles were cleaned and polished.
Liaision with the contract administrator and residents alike were paramount, to ensure high standards were achieved and this resulted in compliments from all parties.
